This years AGM was held on 26th April in Glasgow. It was a wonderful afternoon of fascinating talks by recent Churchill fellows, and a chance for fellows from different years to meet up and share stories about their travels.

2. Chairperson’s Report
The committee has met once face to face at the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh. There have also been several teleconferences over the year.
Keith offered his thanks to Jennifer Olley for organising the venue for this year’s AGM.
There has been a recommendation for a venue for next year’s AGM of the Surgeon’s Hall in Edinburgh.
There are over 400 Scottish Fellows, with 80 of these not on email. Of that around 50 have responded to the invitation to this year’s AGM. Keith proposed that those folk that do not reply to the invitation (either yes or no) are removed from the local association.
In 2014, there were 14?? scholarships awarded. The quality of the applications is not always good, so Keith suggested that the Scottish association could assist with supporting local applicants with their documentation.
The 2014 categories have just been announced, and fellows are asked to support advertising this in their local areas.
In 2015, there is a 50 year celebration of the Winston Churchill Association. There will be a national event at Blenheim Palace, in May 2015. This will be open to all Fellows. Local associations are encouraged to organise additional events, however, Keith cautioned that no additional funds are available. Fellows are asked to support this initiative, by putting forward any suggestions, or recommendations for events.
